Could this possibly help with deterring new rats from coming in? I have a 2-storey home with a drywall finished ceiling. There are 2 small, metal hinged, plumbing access doors (about 12" x 12") on the ceiling and another 2 in the lower part of the walls. I'm assuming what I hear at night are rats rather than mice because the running noises sound like they're coming from something large. Last winter I could hear them chasing each other around. I put some poison through the access doors (before reading your site) and yes, the odor was horrible. Any advice given my specifics?

Really, I cannot thank you enough. However, I have a problem that i need your assistance/opinion about. I hear crawling and scratching in the ceiling of my basement (at night, so I'm assuming its rats or mice) and CANNOT figure out a way to setting traps, poison or anything that will take care of them without actually ripping up a hole in the ceiling. I do not want to damage my ceiling since it will be a pain to repair it, besides being costly. What would you do if you were in my situation? further, do those high pitch devices work in my situation? is there any solution other than ripping off part of ceiling to set traps? Reader mail feedback: Hi Wildlife Removal USA, I hear squeaking and scratching in the wall that is between my bathroom and kitchen. Every day when I go to work in the morning I have to wipe down my desk because there is feces ecerywhere. I don't have any food around, but they keep leavin there mark. they also have done it all over the other girl in my office desks. It has been going on for months and we both have been sick lots. With headaches , vomiting and diaherria. One day I noticed it all over the edge of her file folders. I dont know if she had been touching them on a regular basis or not but right on her desk. What should I do. What are my health risks? We have tried traps in the attic and we have cut several holes in the wall. We do not see evidence of rodents (i.e. droppings). Our pesticide man said he thinks they are coming under the house beside the pipes. Is this possible (I guess anything is possible!) ? Do you have any suggestions?
