Do baby or juvenile skunks spray?

Whether you're managing a small baby skunk or a completely developed, mature skunk, spraying for skunks don’t at all depend on how old they are. Skunks, who are usually commonly accommodating animals, will not spray in to disturb or hurt other people, as they tend to stay out of people's ways at whatever point conceivable. In skunks, praying generally implies that the animal is either exceptionally frightened or panicked, or that it is startled by something. Spraying can also be a sign that a skunk is in torment and distress because of some type of stress or an injury. Skunks will also spray more frequently if they are sick or injured, because they will, naturally, feel insecure. However, many still wonder if baby skunks can spray, and if they frequently do it.

Baby skunks, in fact, can spray, although they are not frequently seen doing it. Try not to expect that a skunk won't spray only because you think it looks extremely small. Even baby skunks, as a rule make it evident that they're going to react by spraying the unpleasant spray, as a rule by murmuring, snarling, foot pounding and screaming. If it happens that you're near around this baby skunk, these practices presumably are your signal to leave it alone quickly. At this point, if a baby skunk begins raising its tail and aiming at you, it's most likely too late for you to avoid being sprayed. You may very well experience a close encounter with the smell of the skunk spray. As you can see, just because the baby skunk is small, it still doesn’t mean that you won’t get spray if you scare it.

To conclude, even though baby skunks are capable of spraying, you won’t see them do it unless they are, for any reason, abandoned by their mother. If you find any abandoned baby skunks, you are welcome, and it would be desirable, to take care of them. However, you should still be aware that these babies will react instinctively to being scared or feeling unsafe. However, this will not come without notice, and you will definitely be able to tell if the babies are becoming upset. In this situation, it would be the best to get away from them or tuck them in their box to calm down. This goes beyond saying, but you can also expect a similar reaction if you disturb baby skunks in their den.
